Six FISIP students were designated as the recipient of Asa Jingga Scholarship. Scholarships that come from students for students are a work program from the Ministry of Advocacy and Student Welfare Orange BEM FISIP UB 2022.
“The Asa Jingga Scholarship recipients are given to 6 awardees with criteria of achiever and need, so students are required to attach achievements and a letter of introduction that these students really need to support lectures,” said Gerald Thomas Minister of Advocacy and Student Welfare, Wednesday (30/11/2022) .
In accordance with the predetermined criteria, six FISIP students were elected, namely Hemalia Kusumadewi (International Relations), Andini Laily Putri (Psychology), Ochimarsyandha Ramadhanna (Sociology), Sheila Syakira Alaydrus (Communication Science), Hana Mawaddah (Psychology) and Arifiah Putri ( Communication Studies).
“Of the 6 awardees we have to choose from 18 applicants, these are also the best students from FISIP but we have to choose the best of the best so 6 is pointed out of 18. They submitted essays and administration on time and also achievements that are no less extraordinary but indeed, the 6 the awardees we chose has indeed been lucky and blessed and is indeed exactly what we were looking for,” added Gerald.
He also hopes that this scholarship can help FISIP students to improve their achievements and support their studies on campus, especially at this beloved FISIP.
One of Asa Jingga Scholarship awardees, Andini Laily expressed her joy at being one of the selected awardees.
“Allhamdulilah, I didn’t expect to be one of the awardees, the reason I signed up for this scholarship was to help ease the burden on my parents in financing college,” said Andini to FISIP Public Relations.
In accordance with the purpose of giving Asa Jingga Scholarship, Andini hopes that the funds provided can be used for the benefit of college, especially UKT (Single Tuition Fee).
This awarding event began with remarks by the President of BEM FISIP UB 2022, the Chief Executive and BPH of the Ministry of Advocacy and Student Welfare and a transparency report on the implementation of Asa Jingga Scholarship. Then, the performance of several songs and the announcement of Asa Jingga Scholarship Awardee.
