The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya (UB) released 33 volunteer students in the ” Campus Teaching” program. This activity is part of the university’s efforts to contribute to improving the quality of education in various primary and secondary schools in Malang area. The release of the volunteer students was carried out by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Afifudin Latief.
The “Campus Teaching” program will take place from July 15 to August 17 2023 and will be divided into three groups. Each group will visit different schools to provide assistance and knowledge to students there.
The location of this program includes Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Miftahul Ulum Buring, Malang City; Harapan Elementary School (SDH) Bocek, and Karangploso 4 Public Middle School, Malang Regency. The presence of volunteer students is expected to provide a different and interesting learning experience for students in these schools.
In his remarks, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Afifudin Latief hopes that volunteer students can provide useful knowledge for the students they teach. More than just transferring knowledge, this activity is expected to inspire and motivate students to study harder and achieve better academic achievement.
In addition, Dr. Afifudin also stressed the importance of maintaining ethics and norms at the venue. As representatives of Universitas Brawijaya, volunteer students are expected to be role models for the students they teach, with good and responsible attitudes and behavior.
The ” Campus Teaching ” program is concrete evidence of the commitment of UB Faculty of Agriculture to play an active role in the development of education in the area around the campus. Through this activity, it is hoped that a closer synergy will be established between the university and the community, especially in the field of education.
It is also hoped that the continuation of this program will have a positive impact in improving the quality of education and creating a generation that is more knowledgeable and virtuous in the future. (zma/UB PR/ Trans. Iir)
