The prestigious 21st ASEAN University Games (AUG) 2024 is currently underway with fierce competition in sepak takraw sport on Tuesday (2/07/2024). Universitas Brawijaya (UB) is the venue for intense competition between four countries: Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia and Indonesia.
At Pertamina Sports Center, Universitas Brawijaya, the sepak takraw match featured four numbers: Quadrant, Double Event, Group, and Group Team. Indonesian athletes who take part in AUG are those who qualify through the Pomprov and POMNAS events.
In the preliminary round, in A arena, Myanmar managed to beat Malaysia with a score of 2-0 (0-15, 0-15) and Indonesia with a score of 2-0 (10-15, 10-15). Indonesia itself recorded a 2-0 (0-15, 0-15) win against Malaysia, adding to the win in B arena with 2-0 over Myanmar and Malaysia.
Heading into the semifinals, Myanmar Team competed against Malaysia Team, while Indonesia Team faced challenges from their own teammates. This fierce battle finally resulted in the Indonesian contingent continuing to advance to the final round against Myanmar
