
News of achievements by Universitas Brawijaya students has been heard again, now coming from two delegation teams competing in the Scientific Writing Competition β Call For Paper Iqtishoduna 2024 held by the Islamic Economics Student Association of Universitas Airlangga on 12 October.
The two delegation teams come from two faculties. The first team consists of team leader Althaf Fikar Harik Nusantara with Maulidya Zahrina Qolby and Moh. Amirur Rosyidin from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry. And the second team consisting of Fajar Dwi Seftiana Ananda Sarno, Pipit Amanda, and Dzikra Nadiyyah Rasyidah from the Faculty of Economics and Business.
The competition entitled “Empowering the Zoomer (Z) Generation to Revitalize Islamic Economic Existence”, was held in 2 stages, including the elimination round followed by the final presentation at the peak of Iqtishoduna 2024. 2 teams from Universitas Brawijaya successfully advanced to the final presentation round after several teams from various universities in Indonesia succeeded. Research with a concentration on the issue of halal food brought these two teams to successfully advance to win 2 nominations and have the opportunity to publish scientific publications.
In this competition, the first team took home 1st place with the innovation of Technology in the Review of Cow’s Milk Biosecurity towards the Halal Value Chain of the Upstream Livestock Industry. While the second team consisted of those who managed to win 3rd place with a research presentation related to the Development of Digitalization of the Halal Food Industry.
One of the participant representatives, Maulidya Zahrina Qolby, said that this competition has a theme with very good substance for sharia issues in the implementation of economic values ββin society.
“My team mates and I hope that this idea and research will not only stop in the realm of competition, but we also hope that this idea will be a form of academic concern for existing empirical problems and facts, as well as our contribution in creating awareness of the need for escalation in the existence of the application of Islamic economics,” concluded this 2021 student.
