The Information and Documentation Management Officer of Universitas Brawijaya (PPID UB) conducted competency improvement activities at PPID IAIN Kediri, Monday (30/9/2024).
The event, which began with remarks from the Rector of IAIN Kediri, was attended by the vice rectors and heads of bureaus as well as the PPID Executive at IAIN Kediri.
“We really want to improve the competence of PPID at IAIN so that IAIN, which will soon become UIN, will also be like UB, which has become an Informative campus,” said Dr. Wahidul Anam, M,Ag. Rector of IAIN Kediri.
The discussion related to PPID took place warmly between the resource person and the audience, especially several things related to efforts to socialize PPID to the entire academic community and what innovations can increase understanding of the importance of PPID in the current global era. The positive impact that will be achieved if PPID implements Law No. 14 of 2008 on Public Information Disclosure is one of the most interesting discussions presented by the Head of the Information and Public Relations Division, Zulfaidah Penata Gama, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.
Not only positive impacts will be obtained by the IAIN Kediri campus but negative impacts also need to be addressed if PPID does not work according to applicable regulations so that there is no public information dispute.
On that occasion, the type and quality of information were also explained very clearly by the Head of the Public Data and Information Services Sub-Division, Dr. Dra. Lely Indah Mindarti, M.Si.
“The most important thing is accuracy in answering or providing information requested by the applicant, it should not exceed the time limit of 10 working days and can be extended by 7 days,” said Lely. (*/UB PR/ Trans. Iir).
