Psychology Study Program and BPBD Invite Students to Maintain Healthy Living

 

The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) collaborates with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to carry out service activities to increase capability and independence as well as awareness in children from an early age about living a clean and healthy life, on (15/6/ 2024) at SDN Slamparejo 1 in Jabung District, Malang Regency.

This activity was warmly welcomed by the school and of course the students. Community service activities regarding clean and healthy living behavior for children from an early age were initiated by Dr. Sumi Lestari, S.Psi., M.Si. This counseling activity involved class 1 students with a total of 37 students. In these activities they practice brushing their teeth and washing their hands properly, cutting their nails and choosing healthy and unhealthy foods.

“It is expected that outreach activities about clean and healthy living behavior from an early age can educate, increase health awareness and the capabilities of the next generation so they can live more prosperously, because health is the main key to achieving individual well-being,” she said.

She added that clean and healthy living behavior is very important so that they can grow and develop into a prosperous generation.
