The research is a part of the PhD study in Membrane Technology Group, MESA+ Insitute of Nanotechnology, University of Twente, Dutch. The presentation is a follow up if the research publication, after it was presented in the International Congress on Membranes and Membrane Processes (ICOM 2011) forum held in Amsterdam, on July 23-29, 2011. ICOM is a the biggest world conference in the field of membrane technology that is held every three years. ICOM 2011 in Amsterdam is attended by more than 1000 experts of technology and membrane process from all over the world.

On the last day of the conference, the participants are taken to visit several location where filtration technology membrane for water and waste water processing in Germane is implemented, such as Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) plant in Nordkanal, which is among the biggest in Europe, Roetgen drinking water Ultrafiltration unit, which is the biggest in Germany, and sewage treatment training and research center (SIMAS).
