FE-UB lecturer at the International Conference Paper Presentations

Ainur Rofiq, SKom, SE, MM, UB professor of Faculty of Economics (FE-UB), for two days (24-25/2), attended the International Conference on Arts, Social Sciences & Technology (i-CAST) 2010, held in Gurney Hotel, Penang, Malaysia. The theme of this conference is "Unveiling New Heights in Multidisciplinary Knowledge". This theme was inspired by the spirit of the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve the harmony of science to be more meaningful and useful.On occasion, the Ainur Rofiq who was studying a PhD at the Faculty of Business, University of Southern Queensland (USQ) in Australia presented a paper entitled "The Effect of Customer's Trust on E-Commerce: A Survey of Indonesian Customer B to C Transaction". Paper is the result of research he had done some time ago. By using media online questionnaire to collect data and Structural Equation Model (SEM) as a tool of data analysis, we concluded that the variables most significantly influence customers' trust of e-commerce in Indonesia is the integrity of the vendor. Therefore it is advised to e-commerce business in Indonesia to continue to maintain its integrity so that the customers' trust can increase.
At the conference this time, as many as 155 papers from various disciplines were presented by participants who attended from various countries in Asia Pacific, Africa and Europe. These events are regularly held every two years in an effort to harmonize the results of interdisciplinary research conducted by academics and practitioners from various countries around the world.[fiq/nok]
