1,290 UB Students Sign Bidikmisi Contract

Around 1,290 Brawijaya University fresher attended a workshop on Academic and Non-Academic Achievement Improvement as well as bidik misi contract signing on Monday (17/Dec/2018) at Samantha Krida Building Brawijaya University. The contract signing is a program of the government and Brawijaya University to realize in pursuing their college study without having to worry about cost limitation. Not only in a long process, Bidik Misi Program at Brawijaya University also passing a fairly tight selection for its students. Accompanied by Vice Dean III on Student Affairs of each faculty, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR, M.S. as the Rector directly chanced to open the event.

In his briefing, Prof. Nuhfil expressed his expectation to bidikmisi grantee to use the scholarship properly. Starts to concentrate in maintaining even improving their academic quality through GPA as well as graduate on time. "Each semester, Brawijaya University is going to evaluate and monitor bidikmisi students grades, therefore their scholarship should be used for supporting their study achievement," she said.

In addition, Brawijaya University also has big expectation to bidikmisi students to have active roles in non-academic activities, Because during the time, the roles of bidikmisi grantee in winning national and international championships are no-less than the others. Many of PIMNAS (Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional/National Student Scientific Week) participants are bidikmisi grantee, averagely they have good achievement. It is not surprising if bidikmisi grantee are chanced to pursue their study at postgraduate program.

After signing bidikmisi contract, all participants get a briefing on various materials regards to campus study.
