Humanities and Social Science lecturer from Deakin University Australia Dr. Anthony Chalkley gave education of new media research for Master's Program of Communication Science students at Faculty of Social and Political Science Brawijaya University. In the occasion, Thony, his familiar greeting explained that new media research can use ethnography methods.

"In using ethnography methods for New Media the key is creating reports, telling stories anonymously, sorting out personal opinions and sharing stories with people who help you," said Thony.

Dr. Anthony Chalkley is an Australian Professor who was invited to explain research in Public Relations and New Media few times ago at Building A Room 5.3 Faculty of Social and Political Science Brawijaya University. The event was a series of 3 in 1 program at Communication Science Department, Faculty of Social and Political Science Brawijaya University.

Thony also mentioned that having new media research can be initiated from any ideas such as experiences. The thing underlined by Thony was how when we carried out a new media research using ethnography then the written data cannot be subjective.

"Always document, then everything will believe the answer you gave is straight and not subjective," Thony ended. [02/Fariza/Humas FISIP/Humas UB/trans. Denok]
