Prof Nuhfil Gains the Most Votes at 2018 Brawijaya University Rector Election

Prof. Nuhfil Hanani gained the most votes at Brawijaya University Rector Periods of 2018-2022 Election. Based on final result of votes calculation, Nuhfil Hanani gained 159 votes, Mohammad Bisri grabbed 93 votes, meanwhile Osfar Sjofjan got 4 votes and 1 invalid vote.

Agenda of Senate's plenary meeting which was held in private ran smoothly and was ended with an address from General Director of Learning and Student Affairs Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education Prof. Intan Ahmad, PhD. In his address, Intan Ahmad fels to be excited because process of Rector Election that is very important can run orderly and smoothly. He expected Brawijaya University can be better with the new principal.

"Brawijaya University is a very nice campus with tremendous reputation. I expected it can be better with a new principal," Intan Ahmad said.

In a press conference with numbers of journalists, Intan Ahmad also amazaed by combination of Information technology and manual system in the new Brawijaya University Rector Election.

It is expected that before 10 June 2018, Minister of Research Technology and Higher Education has inaugurated the new Rector.

In accordance with the tagline of 2018 Rector Election "Brawijaya University Choose the Best One with a Conscience". The Rector election was conducted democratically and smoothly. Numbers of Brawijaya University Senates who attended were 167 ones out of 171 ones in total. Of the number, the Minister's votes was 35% from 167 Senates who attended or 90 votes thus there were 257 votes in total. [Humas UB/trans. Denok]
