Guest Lecture Japanese Culture, Society, and Young People Today with Furumoto Yumi, Ph.D.

Japanese Literature Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Studies University of Brawijaya (FCS-UB) held a guest lecture on Monday, August 28, 2017 which was started on 10.00 a.m. and located in Building A of FCS-UB hall on the 2nd floor.

The theme of the guest lecturer attended by 120 participants was "Japanese Culture, Society, and Young People Today". With Furumoto Yumi, Ph.D. from Nagasaki University as the speaker, this guest lecture explained about the daily life and culture of young Japanese people, including their lectures, what they were doing after school, and how long they study in a day.

The responses of the students during the guest lecturer were very good. The students were very active, even more active than Japanese students. Moreover, the object was looked very interesting and attractive for them.

Universitas Brawijaya and Nagasaki University are tied in an MoU. So, this guest lecture was held in order to establish a good relationship between both universities. "I want to come back again next year to give some lectures. If it's possible, I want some lecturers here to come to teach about Indonesian Language or Culture in Nagasaki University" said Furumoto Yumi, Ph.D. [DT/MSH/PSIK FIB]
