Prof. Bisri Hoping Lecturers Are Not Merely Active in Teaching

Personnel Division of Brawijaya University returned to organize a Basic Education and Training on Personnel Affairs for Prospective Non-PNS-Permanent (Pegawai Negeri Sipil/Government Employee) lecturers conducted on Tuesday-Thursday (22-24/Aug/2017) in Balai Kesehatan Munrajati Lawang.

Dra. Mulyaningwati, MM as Head of Personnel Affairs Division of Brawijaya University mentioned the event was an implementation of Peraturan Rektor No. 74 Tahun 2016 in which each Non PNS permanent lecturers are mandatory to join in a basic education and training on personnel affairs before they are actually raised as Non PNS permanent employees.

Mulyaningwati also explained the importance of the event for the participants as they will be equipped with introduction on Brawijaya Univeristy's history and vision mission until presentation on advanced study, administration, lecturer's professionalism attitude and international journal.

"Based on government's regulation which refers to CPNS (Calon Pegawai Negeri Sipil/Prospective Government Employees), if the assessment obtained by participant in the event is below the prerequisite standard, then there will be a 15-day remediation. And if after the remediation the assessment is remained below the prerequisite standard, regretfully, the participant-in-question cannot be a Non-PNS permanent lecturer at Brawijaya University," Mulyaningwati affirmed.

Brawijaya University Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Mohammad Bisri, MS also advised the participants that later they are not merely active in teaching but also doing research and community services.
