A corruption in Indonesia is liked an iceberg. The look from the outside is only a small part, but the unseen thing is submerged by huge sea. That is stated by the Head of Anti-Corruption Study Center ( PKAK ) of Universitas Brawijaya ( UB ), Prof. Dr Sjamsiar Sjamsuddin in Technical Assisting of Regional Action Plan on Prevention and Eradication of Corruptions. This event was held by UB PKAK Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) on Monday ( 27/10 ), in Seminar Room, 2nd Floor of B Building, Administration Science Faculty ( FIA ) UB.

According to Prof. Sjamsiar, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is overwhelmed because it must take action against corruption perpetrators based on the evidence, at least there are two evidences that can be confirmed. "Many cases are forced to stop due to the lack of evidence," she said.

She explained, a corruption is difficult to eradicate and more rampant because of inadequate acts, the weak of law enforcement, lack of role models and leadership, and the system of state administration, the management of the business world, and people who do not care about the principles of good governance. "Therefore, the best strategy to eradicate corruption is by prevention," she said.

This event was attended by 30 participants who consist of the staffs of Regional Development Planning Board (BAPPEDA) Batu and Regional Working Unit (SKPD). When the opening ceremony, the Dean of FIA Prof. Dr Bambang Supriyono, MS said, Batu is known as a clean city both in terms of accountability and administration. "This is a good event to discuss and share experiences on the Prevention and Eradication Corruption. I hope it can be used as good as possible for each SKPD," said Prof. Bambang.

On this occasion Prof. Bambang Supriyono, MS also gave material "Rencana Aksi Nasional dan Penyusunan Rencana Aksi Daerah Pencegahan dan Pemberantasan Korupsi".  In addition, Prof. Dr Agus Suryono, MS presented "Perencanaan Pembangunan dan Penganggaran pada Bidang Pencegahan dan Pemberantasan Korupsi", and Dr. Romi Hermawan, S. Sos., M.AP delivered "Pelayanan Satu Pintu dengan Sistem IT untuk Pencegahan Korupsi".

After this activity, on Tuesday (28/10), the participants would conduct a working visit to the Integrated One Stop Licensing Services in Denpasar. The visit was held in two days. "Service in the place is known as transparent and accountable, hopefully this visit can be used and implemented in daily work so that the prevention and eradication of corruption can be maximized," said Prof. Sjamsiar.
