Workshop on language and culture by a professor from Germany
On Monday (05/03/2018), Graduate Program of Linguistics Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB), held a workshop on language and cultural research method with Prof. Edwin Paul Wieringa, Ph.D from University of Cologne, Germany. This event was held in the meeting room building A of FCS UB for two days. The workshop consisted of theory presentation and practice directly in related to language and cultural research proposal. The participants of this workshop are lecturers in each study program of FCS-UB and the students of Master of Linguistics Program.

The workshop aims to give knowledge about language and cultural research method to students and lecturers of Master of Linguistics Program in particular, and lecturers of FCS-UB in general. 

It is expected that this workshop can give real benefits to us, both in the form of knowledge for researchers, as well as the application of knowledge to the community. 

Furthermore, this event is useful not only for Master of Linguistics Program, but also for the Department of Languages and Literature FCS-UB. Because it is open for other study programs in the Faculty of Cultural Studies. This event can certainly be advantageous for English Literature, Japanese Literature, France Language and Literature, Chinese Literature Study Programs that also teach linguistic for degree program in the Department of Languages and Literature of FCS-UB. [PS.ILing/Ikrima/DT/MSH/PSIK FIB/HUmas UB]
