Visitation for accreditation at Agriculture Engineering Department
Faculty of Agricultural Technology Brawijaya University was visited by Assessors from National Accreditation Agency on Higher Education (BAN-PT) for two consecutive days (28-29/Nov/2017). The visit was aimed for an accreditation visitation at Undergraduate Program of Agriculture Engineering. The assessor team consisted of Prof. Dr. Ir. Mursalim from Hasanuddin University - Makassar and prof. Dr. Ir. Lilik Soetiarso, M.Eng from Gadjah Mada University - Yogyakarta were accepted by the Dean Dr. Ir. Sudarminto Setyo Yuwono, M.App.Sc, the Deanery, Chairman of Quality Assurance Group Rizky Lutfian Silalahi, STP., MSc, along with Task Force Team of Undergraduate Program of Agriculture Engineering at the Faculty's hall 8th floor. The visitation is a series of extension process of accreditation at Undergraduate Program of Agriculture Engineering which previously has A-accreditation with Surat Keputusan 044/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-XV/S/II/2013.

The two-day visit conducted after proof-reading stage of 3A documents (study program) and 3B (faculty) which referred to seven standards. They are including (1) vision, mission and goals, (2) governance, (3) students and graduate,s (4) human resources, (5) curriculum and academic environment, (6) financing and infrastructure facilities, (7) research, community services and partnership. During the visitation process, the team sees physical evidence of accreditation documents and the process of providing educational services which available. The next agenda was a meeting with academic communities of Undergraduate Program of Agriculture Engineering that consisted of students, lecturers and alumni. In sharing session with lecturers, BAN-PT assessors mentioned that implementation of go-international vision is good enough. This is due to some educational staffs become reviewers in international journal and research collaboration with reputable foreign institution and so proving that Agriculture Engineering's quality has obtained recognition from international academic entities. Assessors also suggested to the Department to make target on numbers of research collaboration as well as lecturers who become reviewers in international journals in the next few years.

In addition, the assessors also rebiewed facilities in the classrooms, laboratory of food processing and agricultural products, laboratory of agricultural power and machinery, Food Production and Training Centre (Bakery THP) and Pilot Plan laboratory of Faculty of Agricultural Technology.
