A total of 19 students of Faculty of Engineering of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) visited the Department of Industrial Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (TIUB) on Wednesday (February 7, 2018).

The students come from different majors. They come from the Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical and Environmental Engineering, and Agricultural Engineering. The visit of UPM Malaysia students is aimed to take a closer look at laboratory activities and facilities at TIUB.

The event is part of the Inbound Student Mobility Program organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP) UB with UPM Malaysia.

The arrival of the guests from the neighboring country was well received by the Head of Laboratory and all assistants from 5 laboratories and 1 studio in TIUB.

Divided into 4 groups, they alternately enter each laboratory and studio.

On this occasion, laboratory assistants are lined up to demonstrate or introduce some of their own products, achievements, or laboratory activities.

"We are excited because they are so enthusiastic about the lab activities we run. On these occasions we can exchange knowledge, insights, and academic experiences of each campus," said Andreas Bimantoko, Assistant Laboratory of Statistics and Quality Engineering.

Visits from UPM students are not only limited to a visit to the laboratory. They also plan to know the class atmosphere at TIUB Department.

"Some students from UPM Malaysia will join in the lectures at TIUB, possibly in the Advanced Ergonomics class," said Head of Industrial Management Studio, Agustina Eunike, ST., MT., MBA.
