Teenagers and youths are the main target in the spread of drugs. Campus or college in which human resources are processed is expected to be a media to prevent the entry of drugs.

One of efforts conducted by Brawijaya University (UB) in prevention and socialization of drugs are such as organizing urine test for the Deans, President of Students' Executive, and President of Student's Executive Agency.

"We actually want to do an urine test to all students especially fresher but due to cost constraint then we are still delaying the program," said UB's Rector Prof. Bisri.

The Rector also expected UB can produce psychotropic substances contained in the body. This expectation comes after UB's Biosains Laboratory was successful in creating diabetes early detection equipment.

Chairman of National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Komjen. Pol. Drs. Heru Winarko, S.H. added that campus can be a place for the emergence of anti-drugs activists. In addition, campus can also insert P4GN (Prevention of Misuse Eradication of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotics) prevention program in College's Tri Dharma.

"BNN has socialized anti-drugs movement through public service announcements and advice to the younger generation through Cinema 21. The advice appears before the movie is played," he said.

Meanwhile, according to a former addict Dony Andreas, our surroundings is one's biggest factor to be an addict. The desire to try due to surrounding people's influence is one's worst factor to turn to drugs.

Dony who has been 25 years concerning with drug world, mentioned that trying drugs is like sucked into a sea of sand that is hard to get out.

"So my advice is stay away from drugs and do not dare to try," he said.

Dony added that family can be one of efforts against drugs," he said.

In addition to a public lecture along with Chairman of National Narcotics Agency (BNN), the event also filled with signing of cooperation between UB and BNN. Signing a memorandum of understanding is consisted of several things, including information about P4GN and increasing UB's academic communities' participation as volunteers and anti-drug activists.

In addition, BNN and Brawijaya University also agree to cooperate in research and P4GN assessment for development purposes of research, innovation, technology, public policy, cooperation on background study of BNN's 2020-2024 strategic plans as well as background study of RPJMN (National Medium-Term Development Plan) in area of drugs management 2020-2024.

In this partnership signing, BNN parties were represented by Komjen Pol. Drs. Heru Winarko, S.H.

Meanwhile UB delegates were including Rector Prof. Bisri, Head of Study Centre for Public Sector Performance and Strategy, Faculty of Administrative Science, Romy Hermawan (for a study on BNN's 2020-2024 Strategic Plan) as well as Head of Research Centre for Conflict and Policy, Faculty of Administrative Science, Abdullah Said (for a study on Medium and Long Term National Development Plan in Drugs Management 2020-2024).
