Brawijaya University is going to provide entry tickets for National 4th Gebyar Brawijaya Qur'ani (GBQ) winners in levels of Senior High School/Vocational High School/Madrasah Aliyah/Islamic Boarding School/equals/publics.

A GBQ UB's activist Agus Setiawan mentioned that Vice Rector III Prof. Arief Prajitno prmised will provide entry tickets for the winners especially the first champion.

"Vice Rector III said will provide entry tickets to Brawijaya University for all winners, especially in areas of MTQ (Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an), MSQ (Musabaqah Syarhil Qur'an), (MHQ) Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur'an, MFQ (Musabaqah Fahmil Qur'an) and MKTIA (Musabaqah Karya Tulis Ilmiah Al-Qur'an)," he said.

Agus added, GBQ's main purpose, in addition to make a relationship with students nationally, also aims to provide a forum for students who have talents in MTQ.

GBQ is an annual working program organized by UKM (Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa/Student's Activities Units) Seni Religi (Religious Art) Brawijaya University.

There are nine branches in GBQ IV, including MTQ, MSQ, MKQ (Musabaqah Khatil Qur'an), MHQ, MFQ, MKTIA, Nasyid, Vocalist star and Banjari.

"Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur'an consisted of two branches namely five juz and 10 juz," said Agus.

The event that conducted for two days (21-22/Oct/2017) followed by around 1,000 participants throughout Indonesia.

"Since the competition is national level, several participants come from Banjarmasin South Kalimantan, Subang West Java and East Java," he said.

The event aims to improve understandings, appreciation of Al Qur'an through the beautiful art of Islam in order to realize an excellent and competent young generation. Not only that, participants also raised the nation's unity in some competition's theme. It shows that young generations are currently able to present religious works as tri dharma support especially for college through mental and spiritual coaching. [Humas UB/trans.
