Three Lecturers of Faculty of Animal Husbandry UB Attend International Seminar in Japan

Three lecturers of Faculty of Animal Husbandry Universitas Brawijaya (Fapet UB) from Cattle Reproduction Science has actively participate in presenting oral presentation in the 4th-International Conference of the Asia Pasific Initiative on Reproduction (ASPIRE 2012) in Osaka, Japan starting on August 31 Agustus to September 2, 2012.

They are Prof. Dr. Sc.agr. Ir. Suyadi, MS presenting a paper entitled Hormone Profiles, Ovulalation Characteristics and Embryo Yield under control of LH and FSH treatment in Boer Goats", Prof. Dr. Ir. Trinil Susilawati, MS. with paper entitled "Effect of addition of phosphatidylcholine on sperm quality post sexing and thawing in goat"  and Dr. Ir. Sri Wahjuningsih, MS. with paper entitled "The cumulus cells expansion of in vitro matured oocyte of pre- and post pubertal goats." Prof. Suyadi said that by attending the seminar, it is expected that it will open the international level of scientific insight in the general field of reproduction and specifically in the latest technological development in the field of reproduction, such as manipulation of spermatozoa, oosit culture technology, hormonal and embryonic  manipulation, and development of in vitro fertilization.

"The seminar is expected to grow the scientific responsibility in developing their scientific expertise similar to researchers and scientists in other countries," he said.

In the event, the three lecturers also visited various exhibition of the latest culture media material products andequipment technology product  technology that is ready to be used for research in laboratories.

They also visit IVF-Clinic in Osaka and Namba with a very modern equipment and system, with average IVF handling of 2.500 cases in Osaka IVF-Clinic and about 7.500 cases in Namba IVF-Clinic. [suyadi/rian/translated by yasmeen]
