The atmosphere of portrait watercolor workshop at Roemah Kantja

Student Association of Fine Arts Study Program, Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held a Portrait Watercolor Workshop at Roemah Kantja café. This workshop headed by Aroffi Ramadan was open for public and attended by various groups.

Livianti, one of the administrators of Student Association, said that many people wanted to improve their talents, but they did not know how to draw using watercolor. Therefore, this workshop is done to provide applicative art education for the community.

M. Ali Al Sidik, a student of Fine Arts Study Program FCS UB batch 2016, performed as the speaker. The event began at 10 a.m. The debriefing included basic watercolor techniques, watercolor media and materials, types of brushes, sharing and reviewing the results of workshops.

Ali used a flat wash technique which was a brush technique to get a flat color thickness, this technique was applied together by painting a portrait of a woman's face. At 2 p.m, the event was closed with the handover of certificates and photos together. Apart of that, Ali also gave stickers as gifts for the participants and sunflower seeds to be planted.
