Monitoring and Evaluation of Darmasiswa RI Program Batch 2018/2019 FCS UB

On Friday (12/28/2018), Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) was visited by the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia (RI), Dra. Eriawati, M.Ak. and Kusumaningayu Wulandari, S.E. as the representatives, were welcomed by the committee of Darmasiswa RI Program. The aim of this visit was to monitor and evaluate Darmasiswa RI Program.

Hamamah, Ph.D., as the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, delivered the opening remarks in this event followed by a speech by the Dean of FCS UB, Prof. Dr. Agus Suman, SE., DEA. The representatives of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Dra. Eriawati, M. Ak., as well, delivered a speech followed by a presentation by the Chief Executive of the Darmasiswa RI Program academic year 2018/2019 FCS UB, Rizki Nufiarni, M.A.; ended with discussion session.

In his speech, the Dean of FCS UB expressed his gratitude for choosing UB, especially FCS UB as one of the organizers of the Darmasiswa RI Program in Indonesia. "We welcome this activity well. Hopefully, in the following years, more students will be placed in FCS UB. This Darmasiswa program is one of the opportunities to introduce UB and Indonesia," said Prof. Dr. Agus Suman, SE., DEA..

Next, there was a report of Darmasiswa RI Program academic year 2018/2019 presented by Rizki Nufiarni, M.A. as the chief executive. The report consisted of participants, funding, the teaching and learning courses program framework, the academic calendar of the Program, learning materials, and documentation of the activities of the Darmasiswa program at FCS UB.

After the presentation, the representative from the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture RI provided input for the betterment of the program.

"The Indonesian Darmasiswa Program is one of Indonesia's national cultural diplomacy so that Indonesia is not inferior to global competition," said Dra. Eriawati, M. Ak.

Darmasiswa RI Program is an annual grant provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia for foreign students from countries that establish diplomatic relations with Indonesia to learn language, art, and culture of Indonesia. The students of Darmasiswa RI Program are placed in several universities in Indonesia.

Those foreign students of Darmasiswa RI Pragram batch 2018/2019 in FCS UB are Raj Nandita from India, Solohery Mampionona Aime Randrianantenaina from Madagascar, Maria Galkina from Russia, Byungju Shim from South Korea, Emmanuel Michael Massay from Tanzania, Ho Anh Nguyet and Tran Huu Nguyet Cam from Vietnam.
