Team Apatte 62 Brawijaya is once again victorious in the Energy Efficient Car Competition (KMHE) 2017, took place at the Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember on 7-11 November.

The energy-efficient car made by Mechanical Engineering students, Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FT-UB) succeeded to be the champion of electric prototype class, 3rd winner of electric urban class and winner of best design report category. The achievement made Apatte team entitled to compete in Shell Eco Marathon competition in Singapore in March 2018.

General Manager of Team Apatte 62 Brawijaya Dana Damara Putra said that they compete with 80 participants from all over Indonesia at KMHE 2017. The car he carries has advantages compared to other participants. One of them is the low rolling resistant tire. "In addition, the braking system is also ahead of the other team!" he said, Wednesday (15/11).

After successfully winning the national contest, they will then advance to international competition. Apatte 62 Brawijaya III car is still one of their flagship.

Meanwhile, Body and Frame Division of Team Apatte 62 Brawijaya, Tri Tiadi added that their preparation to compete in international competition has reached 50 percent. "We will upgrade the chassis construction to make the base is not only light, but also strong," he explained.
The car that uses electric power is capable of driving at a speed of 40 km / h with a power of 1000 watts. the car construction has spent approximately Rp 400 million.
