Universitas Brawijaya (UB) with the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Kendari on Friday (03/08/2019) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the fields of education, research , community service, and in improving the quality of human resources between both parties in the Seven Floor Banquet Room of the UB’s Head Office Building.

Present at this meeting was the Rector of IAIN Kendari Dr. H. Nur Alim, M.Pd., Chairman of the Senate of IAIN Kendari, several Deans and his vices, also several IAIN Kendari Heads and Staff. The delegation was received directly by the UB’s Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR., MS., was accompanied by UB Vice Rector IV Prof. Dr. Ir. Moch Sasmito Djati, MS.

In his speech, the Rector of IAIN said that in the context of improving and developing institutions, there was a need for cooperation with various parties. Therefore, MoU with UB, hope in the future there will be closer communication in developing and improving the quality of institutions.

"IAIN has just transformed from college and we do not want to stop. Therefore we develop quality and progress, of course, we need vitamin intake from outside. We go to Malang, especially to UB that is a prestigious university, and has many achievements. So we can learn and look for references for our development, "explained Nur Alim.

 "Moreover, I think there are many alumni from UB who have good work in the fields of education and government in Kendari. Therefore, we want to learn and build communication directly to UB," he added.

 While UB’Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani Ar. MS welcomes this cooperation and hopes that in the future this MoU can be realized in real terms and can be directly benefited by both parties.

 "Hopefully this MoU has great benefits for mutual progress. Because indeed in the world of Indonesian education we should not compete with each other among us. It would be better if we collaborate and partner to compete in the international world for mutual progress," explained Nuhfil. [Ronny/Humas UB]
