Brawijaya University provides a workshop titled "MINT FÜRS LEBEN" to 250 Senior High School students of various countries, Tuesday (16/Jan/2018). The event that was organized in MIPA Center building is a series of Schülercamp 2018 program conducted by PASCH (Schule der Zukunft/Schools: Partners for the Future) Goethe Institute. In addition to Indonesia, participants also students from Malaysia, Philippines, China, Myanmar, Vietnam, India, Australia and New Zealand.

The workshop was divided into several classes namely Joyful Maths (two classes), Fun Science in Biology (two classes), Fun Science in Physics (four classes), dan Informatics. The workshop was led by experts of Brawijaya University and Goethe Institute. From Brawijaya University, there were hadir Prof. Dr. Fatchiyah, M.Kes., Ph.D, Sukir Maryanto, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D, Mangku Purnomo, SP., MP., Ph.D, Dr. Isnani Darti S.Si., M.Si, and Rahma Fitriani, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. Meanwhile from Goethe Institute, there were Harry Kristianto and Michael Breams.

PASCH Coordinator for Indonesia Ekadewi Indrawidjaja mentioned, of the theme "MINT FÜRS LEBEN" which means Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Science and Technology for living, she wants to show to the students that science is not something which is rigid and horrible.

"Through this workshop, we want students are able to know the real science areas they meet in daily life," said Ekadewi.

"She pursued, the program is specialized for Senior High School students because in accordance with its vision, namely the creation of social network among teenagers in various countries to grow together. "And we consider that its alumni have enough potency to be leaders in their own countries," she mentioned.

This regard also approved by Expert staff of Vice Rector on Planning and Partnership Affairs Mangku Purnomo, SP., MP., PhD. He delivered that Brawijaya University highly appreciates this program. "As its motto 'Building Up Noble Future', we shall contribute in building a better future, such as actively contribute in international activities like this, so as we are able to interact and change our mind thus will enrich Brawijaya University," ended the Head of Agribusiness Department Faculty of Agriculture.
