Policy Institute for Procurement of Goods/Services (LKPP) held a technical procurement assistance of goods/services of the government in Universitas Brawijaya (UB) on Friday (16/9). The activity which was held to implement the Presidential Decree No. 54 of 2010 was centered in the meeting room of UB Hotel 3rd floor. Present as a speaker, Setya Budi Arijanta, SH., Mkn. as the director of the handling of legal issues in LKPP.

Some of the presented materials in this event were the problem of budget, preparation of an auction, the auction description, submission and opening of documents, evaluation and assessment qualification, contracts, and self-managed. In his presentation, Setya said the need for implementation of the procurement was for the procurement of goods/services accountable and reliable physical, financial, and administrative, as well as beneficial for the convenience of the government and benefit to the community. "Things to consider in planning public procurement are the identification of needs, budget preparation and adoption of plans, determination of general policy, the preparation of KAK, and the announcement of a general procurement plan" explained Setya.

Technical assistance activities were attended by the Deans, Vice Deans 2, the committee of receiving and the committee of the procurement of goods/services (pokja UB), the Chief Administrative of all faculties. In addition there were also participants from institutions, such as Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN), Politeknik Negeri Malang, Pemkab Malang, Pemkot Malang, and VEDC. "It is important for all parties involved in procurement of goods/services to get education about the right government procurement procedures/services", added Setya. [mit]
