Quality Assurance System Design Training and Certification of Internal Auditors of Quality in Higher EducationCenter for Quality Assurance Universitas Brawijaya (PJM UB) held a System Design Training of Quality Assurance and Internal Quality Auditor Certification in Higher Education for five days, Tuesday-Saturday (26/7-30/7). The event which is held in Meeting room, Library Building UB is attended by 17 participants coming from various areas such as Jambi, Jember, Singaraja, and Nusa Tenggara to represent their respective colleges.
The training fo the 10th generation in UB aims to improve understanding and skills to design quality assurance system, internal audit system and prepare the internal auditors of quality in higher education. So later, it is hoped that the participants can apply the two competencies gained from this training, which are the capable of designing quality assurance systems and the quality of internal auditors at their respective colleges.
"The training is conducted based on the request of the participants. And will be held if the quota is sufficient which is for 10-20 people," said Wiro as the committee of training. Each participant is charged Rp 3 million, with that cost the participants obtain facilities such as training kits, training modules of SPMI-PT and the requirements of ISO:9001:2008, CD materials, evaluation of competence through psychotest for auditor, participants’ certificate and internal auditor certificates, lunch and coffee break.
The speakers in this training come from PJM UB unit who have been long in charge of quality assurance. They are Prof. Dr. Ir. Soebarinoto, Prof. Ir. Marsoedi, PhD., Dr.. Ir. Sri Rahayu Utami, MSc., Ir. Achmad Wicaksono, M. Eng, PhD and several other speakers. The high interest from the participants to attend the training of quality assurance at UB cannot be separated from the used of three combinations of quality assurance system that are DIKTI, BAN-PT, and ISO:9001:2008 and there are considered ideal for several universities to implement similar systems.
In the first 3 days of training, the participants obtain materials on Internal Quality Assurance System, while the next 2 days are filled with material on the Internal Audit Quality in Higher Education. In addition, the participants are also given the opportunity to apply material that has been obtained on the first day of such draft objectives and quality manual, quality basic concepts, the concept of quality audit system and so forth. This activity is then evaluated to potentially achieve maximum results. [din/rer/mit]
